A word from Hans - April 29, 2007

Hello fellow riders,

Well, for good and bad I haven't had much time to write for the site since diving into this CB750 project and all the other bike stuff. I am excited to get some fun rides put together this summer and really get some miles under our belts. We live in a great location for riding with the river valleys and nice country backroads just within a few miles of the metro area and on over the border in Wisconsin. I have to admit I like burning around the 494 loop and all the curvy sidestreets but it is a little different ballgame. Anyone interested in a weekend/o'night trip this summer? There has been talk of riding to the National Motorcycle Museum in Anamosa, Iowa. Sounds like great fun, maybe throw in some light camping. Also, First Thursday is coming near! And it is time to start getting something rollin', maybe a nice little ride before heading down to D's or one after. Check the forum for postings of rides and what not. Otherwise, we're still moving right along here in the garage…next up for me is a GT750 café or two…but the work isn't going to do itself so we have to squeeze it in somewhere in-between rides. Thanks for checking out the site I hope you enjoy it and look back to see whats happening or to check if we are still alive. Safe trails and keep your head up.

Racers Cafe April 20, 2007

Hey Racer fans! We haven't had too much time to update the site in a while due to schedule changes and such so I send my sincere appologies. However we are not slacking. Last night next winter's project arrived in the Racers' garage. Check them out ! ! !

Two Yamaha RD350s projects. You probably won't see too many pictures of these beautys until they are done. A lot of work and effort will go into these oil smokers to make two of the fastest cafe bikes in the city. We're talking everything from tires to tuned pipes here.

Racers Cafe April 11, 2007

Hey there cafe crew, its Wednesday April 11th and almost halfway through the month. If you are working on a motorcycle project for this summer; this is the month to try to wrap things up. Not ready for May? Who cares? Take your time and do things right.

1st Thursday is May 3rd

Yes that's right folks. The first Thursday of the year that will be above 40 degrees (hope I didn't jinx us). Many of the metro motorcycles gather at Dulono's Pizza @ the Lyndale Ave S and Lake street. There are a whole heck of a lot of events both at Dulono's and around the metro that get more specific group like: Vintage Japanese, British, crusiers and so on. First Thursday is for every motorcyclist. It will get crowded down there, but we've always fancied driving down there to meet people and then go for an evening ride.

So be at Dulono's on May 3rd and support the Minneapolis scene. Grab a Minnesota Motorcycle Monthly publication for later and meet some local riders.

Cafe racers away! Vroom Vroom.

Racers Cafe Easter April 8, 2007

Happy Easter to all of you and yours! I'd like to post a few silly pics on what you should try to stay away from this Easter. (Either that or video tape it and send it to all your friends)

Please do not cross breed or dress your animals up like patio furniture. Its just not right.

On an actuall website note: The weather forcast is working finally. We never did get the one we wanted to use working so we tried this tool from www.accuweather.com. I know its a little big, but the tiny ones don't show enough info to plan a motorcycle ride. Since that was the perpose of it in the first place we chose functionality over slim and sleek.

Happy Easter from Mpls Racers Cafe!!!

Racers Cafe April 6, 2007

Hey there faithful readers, welcome back. There hasn't been an update in a few days; and for good reason. Minneapolis Racers Cafe has been busy behind the web scene the last few days doing the business side of things. On April 3, 2007 MplsRacersCafe offically became incorporated. This has been a long time coming and we're very happy to have crossed that hurdle.

Site updates for this month will(should) include...

Either way enjoy the site and keep dropping us your thoughts, comments and concerns. Thanks for visiting Mpls Racers Cafe.

What to do? What to do? Mo stops to show his love for the Yams.

Racers Cafe April 2, 2007

I want to scream "YEAH it April and the nice weather is finally here!!!", but alas the upcoming week promises to strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger all those Minnesotans who wish to ride in warm weather. That kind of triggers a winter relapse for us here at Racers so we bought a bunch of new bikes. In fact there are so many bikes piling up that there are too many to list. I shouldn't even be here writing, I should be turnin' wrenches.

The Gallery has been updated and will expand when time permits throughout the month.

We enjoy a great deal sharing our stories and experiences with you here on the web. Now we willhave to get working in the shop so we have something to show you throughout the month of April. Since we just went through a major gear change in March you should see us expand by leaps and bounds. So keep those emails coming and share your thoughts with us at the Racers Cafe. (or at least send us a good joke)
